NCsoft Europe Intranet
April 2006
I designed and built the NCsoft Europe Intranet to be the central hub of information and useful functions for the company. It has large sections for information on working for NCsoft, living and working in the UK, socialising and a comprehensive whos-who of everyone in the company. There’s an active forum for free-form discussions, and a wiki for documenting the company’s knowledge.
I designed the tools available on the site, including a holiday planner and booking system that provides a paper-free means of requesting, approving and tracking holidays. The intranet home page shows the upcoming events, meeting room availability, forum rankings, a poll, galleries and company information.
I based the design on the company’s yellow and purple colour scheme, but freshening up the palette to convey a lighter, friendlier image. The intranet also greets you by name, and wishes you a happy birthday (but only on your birthday of course) and has a range of social features for sharing of data using microformats and XML feeds.
