NHSU - Working for the NHS

June 2003

This was a 20-hour training programme for all NHS staff. The aim was to convey the values, mission and importance of the NHS in modern Britain. The programme had modules ranging from the social concepts underpinning the NHS philosophy to practical considerations of equality and professionalism. The production of this programme needed several video and photo shoots in the studio and on location. A wide variety of actors, writers and subject matter experts contributed to the programme.

The deadline was three months from the start date, so I developed new graphics production methods, simplifying standard templates and reducing the amount of graphics graft-work required. There was significant use of automation using Photoshop scripting and actions, also to save production time.

The branding for NHSU was being developed at the same time the programme was in production, so my work contributed to that and I collaborated closely with NHSU’s branding agency.
